It's that time of year when the weather starts getting colder and the frenzied chaos of the holidays is well underway. As for any business owner this time of the year is especially hectic for us.
We are juggling events for both work and family and trying to make sure that we are present in both. With kids of all ages in our house the holiday season is a wild time. Our shopping habits have changed drastically over the years and most items are ones purchased either from other small businesses or made by us.
This year we want to take the time to highlight some small businesses that we use to purchase gifts for our loved ones at this time of year. This list is by no means all inclusive but I think you will find unique and amazing items from each of the artisans on this list! * Heather's Treasures - want eco friendly products. Heather is your go-to for these types of things. Unpaper towel rolls, cotton rounds and beeswax wraps are all go-tos in our house but probably the most fun item that we have ever seen...Indoor snowball fights. Sure to add some fun for the whole family and no snow or cold required. This is a must check out item that I promise you will not regret!
*Mama Te-a - need a relaxing cup of tea? Sally's blends of fabulous teas are the perfect gift for the tea lover on your list. With a wide variety of different options it is so hard to choose a favorite. I tend to give her boxes so that my tea lovers can have a choice of teas and they can decide for themselves which one they love best.
*Kingston Eleven Candle Co - What goes better with the holiday season than candles? You can not go wrong with candles from Kingston Eleven. A perfect blend of fragrances that are not overpowering but provide just the right ambiance to your home. Vivia is a dream to work with. We have her candles and wax melts and both are absolutely incredible!
*Elliott and Murrey Coffee Co - Need a caffeine fix? Keri at Elliott and Murrey is your go to for fabulous coffee options. Locally roasted in Hillsboro Oregon they even a have a shop where you can stop in for a cup if you are out doing some shopping and would prefer to check out things in person. This roasted by mom company is a must try if you are a coffee drinker.
*Lion & Rose Artisan Soap and Natural Deodorant - while soap and deodorant may not exactly seem like gifts I can assure you that the people on your list will find the soap and deodorant from Lion & Rose a whole new experience. My family refuses to use anything else. The fragrances are heavenly and leaving you feeling completely clean without the weird residue other soap can leave.
*Ruth McCabe Designs - Ruth specializes in custom woodwork. Her skill and craftsmanship are second to none and you won't find anyone sweeter to work with. Unique gifts are her specialty. One of a kind items that you won't find anywhere else make fabulous gifts for that hard to shop for person on your list.
